| Instructions Front *Cast on 30 st
Row 1: s1 k1 (p1 k1) to end.
Row 2-6: rep row 1.
Row 7: Increase 1 st rib to end.
Row 8: s1 k to end.
Row 9: s1 p to end.
Row 10-11: Using 1st contrast and work 2 rows in st st . Starting with a k row.
Row 12-13: Using 2nd contrast & rep as 10-11 rows .
Row 14-17: Using main colour st st the next 4 rows. This will form your pattern.
Rep row 10-17 once. Then 10-13 once more.
Armholes: Using main colour cast off 3 st k to end.
*Next Row: Cast of 3 st p to end.
Next row: k 12 turn.
Next row purl.
Next Row: Continuing with your striped pattern k to last 2 st k2tog.
Next row: p
Dec on every other row until 5 st remain. K1 row, p1 row cast off.
Joining wool to second side.
Next row: sl 1 st onto a coloured thread. K to end,
Next row p.
Next row: sl k1 pass sl st over k to end.
Next row p.
Dec on every other row until 5 st remain. K1 row, p1 row cast off.
Back
Work from * to * as front continuing with pattern if you wish or you could leave it plain.
Please note
Row 7: increase in last stitch instead of first.
Continue on remaining stitch until back measures the same as the front.
Next row: cast of 5 st, k to end.
Next row: cast off 5 st, place next 13 st on a safety pin.
Sew left shoulder seam together.
‘V’ Neck
Next Row: Working on 13 st on safety pin. S1 (k1 p1) to end
Pick up 14 st down left front. K the st on coloured thread, pick up 14 st up right side.
Next Row: S1 (k1 p1) until 2 st before centre st on coloured thread. K2tog. Then k the centre stitch. K2tog through back of loop, p1 Rib to end.
Next row rib but make sure you p the centre st that’s marked with the coloured thread.
Work to more rows then cast off in rib loosely.
Armholes
Next row: Right side pick up 26 stitches . Sl1 (k1 pl) to end
Rep last row 3 times. Cast of loosely in rib.
Turn work on wrong side, join right shoulder seem. Then stitch up side seems & sow in lose ends.
Top Tips
To cast of loosely ~ change to a larger needle & cast off normally.
To press 12th scale knitting especially if you have used acrylic wool ~ boil a kettle and hold your work very carefully against the hot side of the kettle. Please take care and don’t burn yourself xxx
